Cecily Fuller RD(SA)

BSc (Dietetics and Physiology) and Diploma in Hospital Dietetics - University of Stellenbosch
BSc (Med)(Hons) in Sport Science - University of Cape Town.

Cecily has been in private practice for more than 20 years at the Christiaan Barnard Memorial Hospital and has worked in a variety of different fields of nutrition and dietetics; including clinical and community nutrition, research, teaching and education as well as consulting to various food and other health-related industries.

Cecily’s work at the UCT Lipid Clinic coordinating the dietary intervention of various drug studies in adults and children with familial hyperlipidemia has given her the experience and expertise to manage severe lipid disorders. Other special interests include the role that diet and exercise play in the prevention and treatment of lifestyle-related diseases such as overweight, hypertension, diabetes mellitus and certain cancers.

She co-authored “Eating for Sport” which was based on her wide experience on advising athletes, coaches and teams in different sports codes at all levels from recreational, national and Olympic.
